. . . DREAMSETTLER
I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve been brought on to contribute original music and some story elements to a new video game, in development by Tendershoot and No More Robots. The game is DreamSettler, sequel to 2019’s Hypnospace Outlaw. I can’t overstate it: I am a MASSIVE fan of the original Hypnospace. This is, on so many levels, a dream come true. DreamSettler won’t be ours to experience until at least late 2023, but you can get some early drops and extra intel from me on the Patreon feed. In the meantime, play Hypnospace Outlaw, and beware of beefbrain…

. . . CRAPPY CASTLES
I’m also the audio editor and composer for the charming podcast Crappy Castles, a funny podcast for nerds who like Dungeons & Dragons. Hosted and produced by my friends Travis Broyles and Ian Hills, the pod is an absolute joy to sauce up with my digital musical noodles and occasional wry quips. Every Crappy Castles episode gets a completely unique original composition in the style of early ‘90s PC game soundtracks, a lifelong passion of mine.

...robert wyatt
I’m sincerely proud of this cover of Robert Wyatt’s “Alliance” that I produced with my good friend and very-longtime drummer and collaborator Colin Agnew. This recording was created almost entirely in my bedroom in Los Angeles, with drums and percussion added by Colin at his house in Atlanta, in mid-2020… very much the way most musical projects were recorded by independent artists during that strange time. On a personal level, it was a deep incubation period. And it’s one that I’m grateful for, in spite of the horrors we suffered, and continue to suffer, as a species.
I’m a massive fan of this artist, Robert Wyatt (if you’re not familiar, I encourage you to spend some time with his music). I’ve long thought he was utterly uncoverable, and I could never do him justice, but with a bit of elbow grease I’m quite happy with this. The song, “Alliance,” was originally released by Robert Wyatt in 1985 on Old Rottenhat, and its bleak, politically prescient lyrics still give me goosebumps; there’s an intimacy to the kind of confrontation he invites here, a pain you can’t dismiss. Hope you enjoy.
